It is said that will all things being perfect we would have never known the outcome of the game between Inter versus Barcelona on Tuesday night, one thing for sure is that Inter had down their homework especially Mourinho after the emphatic 3-1 win over Barcelona. Mourinho had studied Barcelona well, it could be that he knew them from the time he was an interpreter to the time he constantly came against them as Chelsea manager. His tight, man to man marking and defending almost like a basketball game in addition to having a long ball wing play to out sprint the Barca defences paid massive dividends. In reality it was nothing new as he used similar tactics against Barcelona while at Chelsea. We now eagerly await the return leg to see which tactics he will deploy, but as for now is he considered a genius after toppling his former club, Chelsea, while expected not to.
